THE PREDICTION
Mechelen required extra time to beat Cercle Brugge 2-1 in the Belgian Cup on Wednesday, avenging a 3-1 defeat to them in the league last Saturday. They have lost two of their last three Belgian Pro League games but a 2-1 win at home to Club Brugge in their previous match was exceptional and they are going well up in fourth place ahead of this weekend’s fixtures. They could smell blood against travelling Genk, who lost to Club Brugge 2-3 at home last Sunday and then again on penalties after a 3-3 draw in the cup on Wednesday night. Genk have lost five of their last seven league games, including both since the international break, with four defeats from their last five on the road. Mechelen’s four wins and a draw from their last six at home suggests draw no bet is a decent move here but opting for over 2.5 goals in the game and leaving the result up to chance is the more sensible.
