THE LOWDOWN
CLUB BRUGGE
After winning the Belgian title last season, Club Brugge endured a difficult campaign with four different managers as they only just about finished in the top four and then eventually performed badly in the end of season championship round. They have a very strong squad, though, as shown by reaching the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League last season but also by the way they are playing at the start of this.
Under the management of former Celtic and NYCFC boss Ronny Deila, the hosts come into this on the back of another win, this time defeating KA by five goals to one in Iceland in midweek to secure a 10-2 aggregate victory. They have collected seven points from their opening three league games and are free scoring in Europe at the moment.
RWDM
Following promotion last season, Racing Daring White Molenbeek began with what was hopefully not a sign of things to come as Genk welcomed them to the top-flight with a 4-0 thrashing at home. Since then, though, RWDM have been a lot steadier in their performances and actually come into this on the back of back-to-back victories.
Firstly, with former Lyon assistant coach and Botafogo caretaker manager Claudio Cacapa in charge, they came from behind to win away at Oud-Heverlee Leuven by two goals to one with Mickael Biron scoring a brace. Then last week they edged past Mechelen by a goal to nil with Biron, once again, scoring the winner.
THE TEAM NEWS
CLUB BRUGGE
Ronny Deila has kept a relatively settled lineup in the Jupiler Pro League so far with Philip Zinckernagel coming in last week and scoring a brace so the former Watford man is expected to stay. It is very attacking, too, with Tajon Buchanan playing as an orthodox right-back.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Mignolet; Buchanan, Mechele, Spileers, De Cuyper; Vetlesen, Onyedika; Skov Olsen, Vanaken, Zinckernagel; Thiago

RWDM
Claudio Cacapa has no fresh injuries or suspensions ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures so, after back-to-back victories helping them move up the table, he is expected to name an unchanged side for this one.
PREDICTED XI (5-4-1): Defourny; El Ouahdi, Heris, Klaus, Le Joncour, Abner; Dailly, Dwomoh, De Sart, Da Silva; Biron

THE PREDICTION
Coming into this having enjoyed progression through two rounds of the UEFA Europa Conference League and starting the season unbeaten in their opening three matches, Club Brugge will buoyant and confident that they can even challenge for reclaiming their title. They face a newly-promoted side that started badly but, set up in their 5-4-1 system, have begun to show signs of being an impressive defensive unit but overly reliant on Mickael Biron for goals. Club Brugge, especially at the Janbreydelstadion, are overwhelming favourites and it should be quite a comfortable victory for Ronny Deila’s side.
