Abdoulaye Doucoure Signs New Everton Deal

Everton have confirmed that their midfielder, Abdoulaye Doucoure, has signed a contract that will keep him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2025.

The 30-year-old France-born centre midfielder has signed a one-year extension to his deal, having spent the first couple of months of this season playing in the final year of his deal.

Doucoure has said he is ‘delighted’ with signing the new deal, whilst Everton manager Sean Dyche said he is confident that he will ‘remain an integral part of our squad going forward.’

Doucoure began his youth career with OFC Les Mureaux in 2004 and spent three years there before moving to Rennes’ academy in 2007. He made his B team debut for the club in 2010 before joining the first-team in 2012.

After starting out in the first-team at Rennes, Doucoure made 92 appearances before a loan move to then Pozzo-owned La Liga club Granada. After half a season with the Andalusians, he moved to another Pozzo-owned club in Watford, where he stayed for four seasons and made 141 appearances for The Hornets.

Since 2020, after a move that was believed to be in the region of £20 million, he has been an Everton player and has made 108 appearances for The Toffees so far.
