England vs New Zealand prediction

England and New Zealand could be left frustrated over the course of this first test of the English summer, when taking into the account the current forecast which sees plenty of rain expected across the scheduled five days of play. You’d expect England to be more annoyed being the home team and desperate to get their home international season off to a good start.

New Zealand have momentum in their favour following a comprehensive innings victory over Ireland just a few days ago. Obviously though, England represent far tougher competition but with the potential for rain, a result may be hard to find. With that in mind, the smart play would be focusing on an individual player, specifically Joe Root. Always a huge run-scoring threat when wearing England whites, it would be no surprise to see him get his international summer off to a good start.

England vs New Zealand tip: Joe Root to score over 68.5 total runs
