After being heavily beaten in the second Test, England will hope the return of Jofra Archer can give their bowling a much-needed boost in potency and help prove the catalyst to them reasserting their dominance over India, who totally outplayed them in the second Test, deservedly levelling the series with a thumping victory by 336 runs.

Shubman Gill racked up 430 runs across the second Test and he’ll be a crucial wicket for England to take here. The bowlers should get a little more assistance at Lord’s and that benefits the hosts, although India are likely to recall their own superstar pacer in Jasprit Bumrah.

But England’s batting line-up accumulates runs quicker and has more of a threat down the order. After being outplayed last time out, expect a big reaction from England here and back them to make the series 2-1.
