Donna Vekic will be eyeing some quick revenge in Singapore.

The Croatian star lost for the first time to Xinyu Wang as she went down 6-3 1-6 4-6 to the Chinese world number 40 in Cincinnati in August.

Vekic, who now sits at 38 in the rankings, had won their previous two meetings in straight sets, but this year’s Queen’s champion has struggled for form for a lot of 2026.

Xinyu has looked way more consistent and could yet snare another mini upset, although given how up and down Donna can be, there’s plenty of scope for this to go three.
