Alexandre Shubladze continued her fairytale run in Hong Kong by upsetting top seed Sorana Cirstea.

The 21-year-old qualifier has now won her first three main draw matches after sending the Romanian into retirement with a 6-2 6-3 triumph.

The world number 136 will now meet Claire Liu for a place in the final after the American blasted past Zeynep Sonmez by a 6-1 6-4 scoreline.
