Denzel Bentley: Stripped of his WBO crown ahead of this fight
Denzel Bentley (22-3-1) was elevated to full WBO middleweight champion in July after Janibek Alimkhanuly vacated the title, having won the interim belt with a seventh-round stoppage of Endry Saavedra in April.
However, the WBO stripped him of the title last week after he chose to face Mosley Jr. instead of mandatory challenger Yoenli Hernandez, so there will be no belt on the line on Saturday night.
Bentley has won his last four bouts, three of them by stoppage, but he will not find it as easy against Mosley Jr.
Shane Mosley Jr.: Son of a legend coming off his best win
Shane Mosley Jr. (23-5), son of Hall of Famer ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley, is coming off a stoppage win of his own, having knocked out Serhii Bohachuk in the sixth round in May in the biggest win of his career.
This is only the second time Mosley has fought outside the United States, and the first since 2017, and he will be looking for a statement performance against the Londoner.

This promises to be a hugely entertaining and intriguing fight between two experienced boxers who will leave it all on the line in London on Saturday night.
It will be interesting to see how Mosley fares on the road, while this is arguably the biggest show Bentley has fought on.
Bentley has the power to trouble anyone, but Mosley has yet to be stopped, with all five of his defeats coming on the scorecards. He is nowhere near the level his father was, but he is still a very good boxer who has fought at a high level, and his elusiveness will cause Bentley problems. It will be interesting to see whether Bentley can match his speed and have any joy in connecting.
Home advantage is definitely worth something for Bentley, but we have a feeling that Mosley’s height and reach advantage, along with his slick boxing skills, could be really problematic, and we can see the American getting the win.
