In dramatic circumstances, Denmark missed out on FIFA World Cup qualification. They were beaten 3-2 by Scotland to fail to automatically qualify with two late goals before then losing their playoff final on penalties against Czechia in Prague.
They now face a Democratic Republic of Congo side that did well to defeat both Nigeria and then Cameroon in CAF playoffs in the autumn before they then defeated Jamaica by a goal to nil in their Inter-Confederation Playoff final a few months ago.
