THE PREDICTION

Luke Woodhouse makes his third appearance at the PDC World Darts Championship as he takes on veteran James Wilson, who will be making just his second televised appearance of the season after a third-round defeat at the UK Open in March. Woodhouse has made a couple of quarter-finals on the Pro Tour this year and his game appears to be in far better shape than that of Wilson, who has been sliding down the rankings over the course of the last couple of years. The elder statesman has been knocked out in the first round of the last seven tournaments he has entered, and that looks set to become eight here with Woodhouse tipped to advance.
