THE PREDICTION
Team Abu Dhabi have fallen by the wayside ahead of the knockout stage
of the T10 League after they suffered a third loss in their last five
matches. Delhi Bulls got the better of them in a result which cost Abu
Dhabi second place and an extra shot at making the final. They must now
look to qualify the hard way after their 49-run loss to the Bulls and
major improvements are needed if they are to remain in the tournament.
Abu Dhabi struggled with both bat and ball in their latest contest as
they stuttered their way to 86/8 as they chased 136 with Liam
Livingstone once again leading the way with the bat but he could only
manage 29 runs. Bangla Tigers stand in their way and while they come
into this on the back of a win, that was their first in three matches.
They were too good for a poor Northern Warriors outfit yesterday as they
claimed a comfortable 30-run success on the back of unbeaten efforts
from Hazratullah Zazai (55) and Faf du Plessis (38) and they will be key
to their chances once again. These two teams have shared one win apiece
in their matchups so far in this tournament so there is very little to
split the pair but on their day, Abu Dhabi possess more quality than
their opponents and if they can play to their best, they can just do
enough to claim the win and keep their hopes of making the final alive.
