Zimbabwe did enough to edge the T20i series against Ireland and will look to back that effort up as attention turns to the 50-over format of the game. The hosts were thankful to Craig Erving in that final game of the three-game series as his knock of 54 helped his side to claim a four-wicket success. Ireland were competitive all the way through the T20i series and will hope to give another good account of themselves in the one-day series but Zimbabwe look like they will be more suited to the longer format and should be tricky to defeat in this opening clash.
