• Sydney Sixers made a massive statement in their final BBL league game, stepping into the Lion’s Den of Perth and turning the back-to-back champions over on their own patch, their dramatic victory by three wickets earning them a spot in this qualifier ahead of the Scorchers, courtesy of finishing second-place.
• With three consecutive wins to their name, the Sixers head into the play-offs with that all-important momentum firmly behind them and with an experienced core who know what it takes to get over the line.

THE PREDICTION

Brisbane Heat come into this qualifier as favourites to advance through to the final following an excellent league stage showing throughout its entirety. However, the Sydney Sixers are starting to look extremely good and to win in Perth with a place in the qualifier at stake was a huge message to Brisbane. We also don’t know how the Heat will react having tasted defeat for the first time and whether they can cope with a Sixers outfit who will throw everything at them.
