Canada vs Uzbekistan prediction

Jesse Marsch has been dealt a blow in the build-up to the FIFA World Cup with former Mexico international midfielder Marcelo Flores having been ruled out for the Canadians. Canada have started 2026 unbeaten in friendlies against Guatemala, Iceland and Tunisia.

Fabio Cannavaro has been appointed Uzbekistan boss after Srecko Katanec and then Timur Kapadze oversaw their AFC qualifying campaign for this summer. The Uzbeks are limited but have shown themselves to be awkward to play against in friendlies in the last 12 months.

Uzbekistan will again be expected to be awkward opposition for an often profligate Canadian side and so a low-scoring clash is to be expected, albeit Canada do remain favourites.

Canada vs Uzbekistan tip: Canada to win & under 3.5 goals
