It looked early on like Canada would go on to beat previously winless Panama after taking the lead in the second inning. Their third game of pool play, you could now argue is a must-win against Puerto Rico.

Expect a reaction from Canada, who are better than what we saw in their last game and with their backs to the wall, should raise their performance levels as Jordan Balazovic takes to the mound. An offense which includes the likes of Josh Naylor, brother Bo Naylor and in-form outfielder Owen Caissie are more than capable of putting the Puerto Rican pitchers under pressure and it’s important to remember how close they were to being beaten themselves by Panama.
