Brisbane Heat vs Perth Scorchers prediction
Tim Seifert’s 102 helped condemn Brisbane Heat to defeat in their opening game of the campaign. Seifer led Melbourne Renegades to a massive 212/5 batting first against the Heat and whilst Brisbane responded valiantly, the target was simply too large and they fell 14 runs short. As for Perth Scorchers, they were victorious in their first match, beating Sydney Sixers by five wickets, a statement win in front of their home fans
Young Australian international Cooper Connolly blasted 59 off 31 balls batting at number three in a successful run chase and it feels like the 22-year-old could be set for a monster BBL season. The Scorchers’ batting in general looks absolutely stacked, with Laurie Evans coming in as low as number six and that doesn’t bode well for Brisbane Heat when considering how their bowling unit got smashed about by the Renegades.
Perth’s bowling shouldn’t be feared by Brisbane, not paper it’s not the most intimidating line-up and the expectation is that we’ll see a high-scoring contest between these two teams. Opener Mitchell Marsh warrants focus after being dismissed for a three-ball duck against the Sixers. A quality player and hitter, he’s crucial for Perth in the powerplay and it would be typical of Marsh to bounce back from a disappointing outing with a big score here, so it’s worth backing him to accrue 30 or more runs in this game.
Brisbane Heat vs Perth Scorchers tip: Mitchell Marsh to score 30+ runs
