Boca Juniors vs Benfica prediction

Boca Juniors have an experienced squad, as shown by the likes of Ander Herrera and Edinson Cavani. One of the most famous clubs in the world, they are seeking to establish themselves on top of the world once again, having won the old Intercontinental Cup on three occasions, in 1977, 2000 and 2003.

Benfica ended up missing out on the Portuguese title to Lisbon rivals Sporting CP on the final day of the campaign, having drawn with Sporting on the penultimate match day of the season. They then suffered a 3-1 loss to Sporting at Estadio Nacional do Jamor in the Taca de Portugal final, in a game in which Sporting equalised as late as the 101st minute.

Boca have some intriguing talents in attack but play a more defensive style, whilst Benfica are often unpredictable so the two sides easing their way into the tournament with a draw may well be a good bet.

Boca Juniors vs Benfica tip: Draw
