Benin vs Nigeria Prediction

In the reverse fixture between these two sides at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo in Nigeria on match day one, the Nigerian hammered Benin by three goals to nil with a brace from Ademola Lookman as well as a strike from Victor Osimhen.

Since then, Benin have been much-improved with two victories and a defeat. They came from behind to defeat Libya by two goals to one in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast before hammering Rwanda by three goals to nil in the same venue. In their most recent outing, Benin were beaten 2-1 by Rwanda in Rwanda after leading at half-time.

Nigeria have spent the most of this year since Jose Peseiro, who was always under-fire but did lead the Super Eagles to the final of the 2023 AFCON earlier this year, without a permanent manager. Interim coach Augustine Eguavoen is in charge of a Nigerian side that were due to face Libya last month but were awarded the win as a result of treatment of Nigeria players when they arrived in Libya.

Nigeria have not guaranteed qualification but they have an abundance of attacking stars and are yet to concede so far so it seems very difficult to back against them at the moment.
