Atletico Madrid vs Girona prediction
Having previously prioritised the UEFA Champions League, up until their semi-final exit at the hands of Arsenal, Atleti have rediscovered some form in La Liga with three victories in their last four matches, seeking to pinch third place from Villarreal in the final two games of the campaign.
Girona have been topsy turvy throughout this campaign and now the Catalans are hovering just a point outside of the danger zone once again. They did manage to peg both Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad back to 1-1 draws in their last couple of outings.
Girona have shown a bit of fight and resilience in those games but this is an Atletico side under pressure to finish well and, with home advantage, should continue their improvement.
