Laos were outstanding against Brunei, but Hong Kong is likely to put up a tougher fight, especially with home advantage being in their favour. Despite Laos being in a strong position, that won’t count for much if they wind up losing here, so they need to keep their foot on the gas if they are to secure a place in the final.
Expect Hong Kong to come out of the blocks quickly and try to stunt Laos early on. A lot will depend on whether the latter can soak up that early pressure. As was the case in the first Group A fixture in division two, we should see chances at both ends of the field and it would be a surprise if both teams were not to score, regardless of the final outcome.
