In our weekly round-up here at The Stats Zone, we look at the biggest talking points currently within the FIFA eSports scene. These may range from player transfers, online/offline tournament announcements, tournament results and more.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Last weekend's Gfinity FIFA Series March in London saw Argentinian Nicolas99fc beat Msdossary in the grand final and lift his second Gfinity FIFA Series LQE. This win lifted Nicolas back to the top of our TSZ PS4 Player Rankings and extended his lead at the top of the PS4 Global Series Rankings.

TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Details of this weekend’s ePremier League have been revealed. All players have been split into five groups of five and will compete against each other in their respective groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stages. You can see the full group stage draw and our picks to have a successful tournament in our extensive ePremier League preview, which can be found here.

Also revealed ahead of the weekend was the full details regarding the eMLS Cup in Boston. The top five players from both the Eastern and Western Conference following a third season of competition will advance to the knockout stages. The rest of the competitors will contest a last chance qualifier which will determine the final two players to complete the knockout bracket. DOMESTIC FIXTURES & RESULTS

Round five of the E-League Australia takes place tomorrow (March 28th), with a full round of fixtures that mark the halfway point in the competition. Top-of-the-table Melbourne Victory take on Perth Glory whilst Melbourne City meet Western Sydney Wanderers. Other matches include Adelaide United vs Central Coast Mariners and Wellington Phoenix against Newcastle Jets.

ELSEWHERE

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve reported on Jamie O’Doherty’s road to recovery following his collapse at the FUT Champions Cup Singapore. Today we can finally bring the story to a close as Jamie returned home to his native New Zealand following a period of recovery. The time for rest is now over for the FUTWIZ player as he makes his return to competitive action tomorrow, when he represents Adelaide United in the E-League Australia in their match against Central Coast Mariners.

All over the world, qualifiers have been taking place for next month’s eNations Cup and many famous FIFA 19 professionals have won the opportunity to represent their home country at the inaugural event.
