- Wakefield's problems with consistency struck again as they put in an abject display to lose to bottom-of-the-table London with their late comeback doing little to satisfy head coach Chris Chester.
- Trinity and Justin Horo have parted ways after they mutually agreed to cancel the contract of the back-rower which frees up a quota spot with Wakefield moving quickly to fill that position with Manly back-rower Kelepi Tanginoa.
- Tanginoa could make his debut here after he was named in the 19-man squad and he will be joined by Anthony England and Matty Ashurst after both recovered from injuries with Chris Annakin and Jordan Crowther making way.

- Catalans made it five wins from six in all competitions as the Dragons overcame Wigan in their historic clash at the Camp Nou but suffered a couple of setbacks in terms of injuries last week.
- Catalans lost Greg Bird to a bicep injury last week and is expected to be out for at least three months and Michael McIlorum will miss out this week whilst Sam Tomkins is still out with his back problem.
- Matty Smith has provided a timely-boost for Steve McNamara with the French side light of numbers in the halves with Lambert Belmas also coming into the squad whilst Jodie Broughton will turn out for Toulouse on dual-registration as he looks to build his fitness.
THE PREDICTION
Wakefield will have endured a tough week in training after head coach Chris Chester slammed the effort of some of his players in the defeat to London. They now face an in-form Catalans side but the French outfit are missing some big players that could cause some disruption to their side. Trinity have added the impressive Kelepi Tanginoa to their ranks with the back-rower looking to make an immediate impact and on the back of last week’s horror show, a Wakefield response is expected with Catalans likely to fall short because of their injury issues.
