- St. Helens left it very late but they ensured they maintained their 100% record on home soil as they defeated Salford last week thanks to James Bentley’s last-gasp try sealing the come-from-behind win for the Saints.
- James Roby sat out last week's game with a slight niggle but he is expected to return to the Saints line-up for this contest having being named in the 19-man squad although Aaron Smith will hope to retain his place in the 17.
- Jack Welsby is the man to make way for Roby and his inclusion should offer Saints more direction around the ruck as they look for a better performance than they have produced in recent games.

- Castleford ended their run of four matches in all competitions without a win as they easily saw off a poor Leeds side last week but face a massive test if they want to go back-to-back as they face league leaders St. Helens.
- The Tigers will be without Jesse Sene-Lefao after the forward was allowed to indefinitely head back to Australia on compassionate grounds whilst Nathan Massey picked up a knock last week.
- Youngster Brad Jinks is the final man to make way but Castleford are boosted by the return of Will Maher, Chris Clarkson and Daniel Smith after the trio overcame injures to take their places in the 19-man squad.
THE PREDICTION
St. Helens again struggled to find the attacking fluency that has served them well so far this season as they blew a good start before hitting back to beat Salford. They face Castleford here who will be looking to build on last week's win over Leeds but Saints should have too much. It would be difficult to rank the form of Castleford based on last week’s win alone and whilst it was an improved effort, Leeds offered little and Saints will be a very different proposition. With Saints only tasting defeat once all season, it is hard to see a second loss here.
