THE TEAM NEWS

LEEDS RHINOS

Head Coach: Richard Agar

Squad: T. Briscoe, Cuthbertson, Donaldson, Dwyer, Handley, McLelland, Merrin, Myler, Newman, Oledzki, Parcell, Peteru, Seumanufagai, Singleton, Smith, A. Sutcliffe, L. Sutcliffe, Walker, Watkins

Unavailable: Dom Crosby, Stevie Ward, Carl Ablett, Brett Ferres, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Konrad Hurrell, Tui Lolohea

  • Leeds have won just one of their last four league matches as the threat of relegation looms following a loss against Castleford and now face a huge contest against fellow relegation candidates London.

  • Tui Lolohea suffered a lower leg injury in the early stages of the game with Castleford and he will miss out for the Rhinos but Jack Walker returns to slot straight back in to the fullback role.

  • Alex Sutcliffe is named in the 19-man squad for the first time this season as he replaces Ashton Golding with interim head coach Richard Agar looking for his first win in temporary charge.

LONDON BRONCOS

Head Coach: Danny Ward

Squad: Abdull, Adebiyi, Battye, Butler, Cunningham, Dixon, Fleming, Fozard, Gee, Kear, Krasniqi, Lovell, Morgan, Pitts, Richards, Smith, Walker, Williams, Yates

Unavailable: Eloi Pelissier

  • London secured a vitally important victory as they outplayed Wakefield for large periods to close the gap on the teams above them after ending their eight-match losing streak in all competitions.

  • Olsi Krasniqi will be pushing to make his second debut for the Broncos after the new signing from Toronto was not selected last week but he has been named in this week’s 19-man squad.

  • Matty Fozard is also back in the squad after recovering from a knock with Mark Ioane the man to make way whilst Eloi Pelissier misses out after he suffered an injury in the game against Wakefield.

THE PREDICTION

This game has turned into a huge four-pointer at the bottom of the table with London full of confidence after a great win over Wakefield last week. Compare that to Leeds who looked abject in their loss to Castleford and their lack of self-belief could open the door for the Broncos. The importance of this game will not be lost on Leeds and that could place them under pressure with London coming into the game as underdogs. They might find the freedom to throw the ball around and plunge Leeds into an even worse position than they currently find themselves in.
