- Sydney Roosters bounced back from their loss to Melbourne with a professional performance against Wests Tigers to get back to winning ways and will be confident of making it back-to-back victories against North Queensland.
- Zane Tetevano will be missing for the Roosters after he entered an early guilty plea for a Grade 2 dangerous contact charge but his loss is countered by the return of Siosiua Taukeiaho.
- In another big boost for the Roosters, Jake Friend makes his long-awaited return to the side after recovering from the bicep injury that has kept him out for most of the season which will see Victor Radley revert to his favoured positon of lock.

- North Queensland lost their third game in a row as they went down to St. George last time out with the bye week coming at a good time.
- Michael Morgan was already a doubt for the Cowboys due to his appearance in Origin during the week but he suffered a big knock to the head and will be missing for at least the next couple of games.
- John Asiata switches to five-eighth in Morgan’s place whilst Matt Scott is a big addition on the bench after missing four games with a shoulder problem and Javid Bowen will feature on the wing after earning a recall in place of Enari Tuala.
THE PREDICTION
Sydney Roosters were solid in their win over Wests Tigers and will look to make it back-to-back wins as they host North Queensland. The Cowboys are struggling with injuries and that is having an impact on their form which should see the Roosters win this. They have opted to rest James Tedesco and Boyd Cordner following Origin but they coped without them last week and the return of Jake Friend will add to their already strong line-up as they should have too much for the injury-hit Cowboys.
