  • The 3-16 win improved the Redskins’ record to 6-3, their best record through nine games since 2008.

  • The Redskins have a two-game buffer in the NFC East but won’t want to rest on their laurels with the Cowboys and Eagles both capable of chasing them down.

  • The Texans were able to enjoy their bye week having won their sixth straight game with their win over the Broncos.

  • Houston managed that feat for the first time since 2012 as they defeated Denver 17-19 with Ka’imi Fairbairn’s field-goal securing the win with the only points in the 4th quarter.

  • The Texans lead the way in the AFC South with their 6-3 record but have the Titans hot on their heels with the Colts and Jaguars still in the hunt.

THE PREDICTION

These two 6-3 teams come head-to-head as both look to try and remain at the top of their respective divisions. The Redskins and Texans have both impressed this season with the latter winning six consecutive games following their poor start. They now head to Washington on the back of their bye and whilst both teams are capable of winning, the Texans can edge a tight, low-scoring contest.
