LAST MEETING
Los Angeles Rams 7-34 Kansas City Chiefs
THE LOWDOWN
LOS ANGELES RAMS
Head Coach: Sean McVay
W/L: 9-1
- Los Angeles Rams bounced back from their disappointing defeat at New Orleans in the previous week as they beat Seattle last week.
- The 36-31 win in a tightly-fought contest will give the Rams a boost ahead of what is likely to be another close game against the Chiefs this week.
- Todd Gurley has scored 17 TDs so far this season, three more than anybody else in the NFL. He also leads the NFL in rushing yards with 988, 157 more than any other player.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Head Coach: Andy Reid
W/L: 9-1
- Kansas City posted yet another win although they only managed their lowest points total of the season in the process against Arizona.
- The high-scoring Chiefs were restricted to 26 points against the Cardinals but that proved to be enough in the 26-14 win.
- Rookie QB Patrick Mahomes continues to impress in his debut season and leads the NFL in terms of passing yards (3150yds), just ahead of Jared Goff (3134yds) who he faces off against in this game.
THE PREDICTION
Having been set to face-off in Mexico City, the Rams will now host the Chiefs at the Coliseum after concerns over the state of the pitch forced the NFL to move the game. That looks set to be the right decision with two 9-1 teams set to showcase their talents on a good surface. Two of the three highest scoring offenses will go toe-to-toe in a shootout with the Rams likely to edge it.
