Adrian Mannarino vs Jiri Lehecka prediction
Adrian Mannarino reached the fourth-round of the US Open for the first time after Ben Shelton was forced to retire after suffering a shoulder injury. Mannarino had just levelled the match up at two sets apiece. The 37-year-old is performing brilliantly right now, having also got through to the round-of-16 of the Cincinnati Open after coming through qualifying.
Jiri Lehecka reached the last-16 in New York for the first time after defeating Raphael Collingon in straight sets. Collignon had sprung a surprise in round two after beating 2022 finalist Casper Ruud but he struggled to make the same impact here as Lehecka won 6-4 6-4 6-4 after two hours and 11 minutes.
Mannarino’s counterpunching and lefty slice will look to disrupt Lehecka’s rhythm, but the Czech’s aggressive serving and strong ball striking gives him the edge in terms of dictating the rallies. We think Lehecka has enough to get through and make the quarters.
