Mikhail Kukushkin vs Stefanos Sakellaridis prediction

Mikhail Kukushkin is set to bring an end to his career at the Almaty Open. The Kazakh, who is now 39 years old, reached a career high of 39 in the world seven years ago, and won an ATP Tour title at the St Petersburg Open back in 2010. His last event was at the Mallorca Championships back in June, where he failed to qualify. His best result at this tournament was a quarter-final appearance in 2020.

Kukushkin takes on Stefanos Sakellaridis in the first-round. The Greek defeated Alexander Shevchenko in the final qualifying stage to enter the main draw of the tournament. The Greek has won two Challenger titles in 2026, while he also picked up a tour-level win in Bucharest after defeating Jan Choinski in the first-round. 

Sakellaridis has already played two matches on these courts, and he has a strong enough serve to apply pressure onto Kukushkin.
