Zimbabwe started their AFCON qualifying campaign with an entertaining 3-2 defeat of Sierra Leone in a game in which they went 2-0 down in 27 minutes before a late turnaround with a brace from Marshall Munetsi as well as a Tawanda Chirewa strike.
DR Congo reached the round of 32 at FIFA World Cup 2026 before a late loss to England. They have improved their squad in the meantime and began AFCON qualification with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea the other day.
Zimbabwe have home advantage and will take confidence from that game so both teams scoring may well be a good bet but the Congolese remain favourites.
