Andre Fili: “Touchy” looks to stop the slide
Andre Fili (25-14, 1 NC) has been one of the featherweight division’s great survivors, but 2026 hasn’t been too kind to him. A split decision loss to Jose Delgado in March was followed by a second-round TKO against Vinicius Oliveira in June. That’s back-to-back defeats after years of alternating wins and losses. The Team Alpha Male veteran switches stances constantly, works behind a long jab, and manages distance with leg kicks and feints, while mixing in offensive grappling here and there. He lacks proper one-punch power but has decent pop in his hands and a fast head kick. The concern is that he keeps his chin high in the pocket and can get scrappy in extended trades.
Kai Kamaka III: “Da Fighting Hawaiian” looks to bounce back
Kai Kamaka III (18-8-1) returned to the UFC this year after a successful run in Bellator and the PFL. He edged a split decision against Dakota Hope in April, before being stopped by the unbeaten Luke Riley in the first round in July, a stoppage many felt came early. Kamaka is a gritty, high-volume pressure boxer who breaks opponents down with hand speed, forward pressure and low kicks rather than one-punch power, landing 5.49 significant strikes per minute. The trade-off is that he takes a lot of strikes on the way in, relying on his chin and cardio. He has a wrestling base to fall back on, but rarely leads with it.

Open poll and resultsAndre Fili vs Kai Kamaka III prediction
Both fighters can mix it up here, but the battle lines are clear – Fili wants to fight on the outside, Kamaka wants to get on the inside. Kamaka will have to eat straight shots from Fili to close the distance, and once he gets there, Fili’s habit of getting drawn into scrappy exchanges means he’ll take damage too.
The physical advantages belong to Fili. He’s three inches taller with a five-inch reach advantage, and that’s where his fast head kick comes into play. Kamaka isn’t the most defensively responsible fighter, and as he ducks in to close the gap, that kick has a good chance of finding its mark. Fili’s experience and fight IQ should also help him manage the pace against a younger opponent who will keep coming for 15 minutes.
That said, Fili can’t afford to let this become a brawl. His loss to Oliveira was exactly that kind of fight, and at 36 he can’t absorb damage the way he once could. If Kamaka drags him into a war in the pocket and his cardio holds, which it should, the volume could swing the scorecards.
I think we’ll see a high-paced back and forth war, but I lean towards the veteran to use his length and experience to bounce back.
Prediction: Andre Fili to win
