Jose Daniel Medina: Bolivian Boxer battling for his place
Jose Daniel Medina (11-5) returns to the Octagon still searching for his first UFC victory, having dropped both of his appearances so far. Most recently, the 34-year-old Bolivian was knocked out by surging prospect Ateba Gautier, following a decision loss to Zachary Reese in his debut.
Medina is a fairly durable, boxing-based striker with 73% of his wins coming via KO or TKO. However, he’s not particularly athletic or elite in any area, and big questions remain about whether he’s UFC calibre.
Dusko Todorovic: Montenegrin kickboxer fighting to save his UFC career
Dusko Todorovic (12-6) is also fighting for his UFC career after three consecutive losses, most recently dropping a unanimous decision to Zachary Reese. The 31-year-old holds a 3-6 UFC record and has struggled to string together consistent performances.
A dangerous kickboxer with solid power and 67% of his wins by KO/TKO, Todorovic is technically sound on the feet but let down by a weak chin, poor gas tank, and leaky defence.
Jose Daniel Medina vs Dusko Todorovic prediction
This is likely a loser-leaves-town bout, with both fighters entering on losing streaks and needing a statement win. While Medina has shown better durability, Todorovic has the higher level of UFC experience and the more refined striking.
Expect Medina to survive the early storm, but the Montenegrin’s power and technique should carry him to either a decision win or a late stoppage.
Prediction: Dusko Todorovic to win & over 1.5 rounds
