Alexander Hernandez: Resurgent striker riding momentum
Alexander Hernandez (17-8) enters this bout on a three-fight winning streak, including a first-round TKO of Chase Hooper just weeks ago at UFC 319. The 32-year-old American has been in the UFC since 2018 and burst onto the scene with a stunning KO of Beneil Dariush in his debut.

A well-rounded fighter with solid kickboxing and capable wrestling, Hernandez tends to look extremely dynamic with his movement in the early rounds but has shown a tendency to fade as fights progress. Still, he remains dangerous, particularly in the opening exchanges.

Carlos Diego Ferreira: Grappling veteran with finishing instincts
Carlos Diego Ferreira (19-6) is a true veteran of the UFC’s lightweight division, having been on the roster for over a decade. Now 40 years old, the Brazilian has shared the cage with elite names like Dustin Poirier, Beneil Dariush and Anthony Pettis. While he dropped a decision to Grant Dawson in his last fight, he previously scored back-to-back stoppages over Mateusz Rebecki and Michael Johnson.

Ferreira is a slick grappler with nasty ground-and-pound and a sharp submission arsenal. On the feet, he’s heavy-handed but is clearly slowing with age. Still, he remains a tough and dangerous challenge for much of the division.

Alexander Hernandez vs Carlos Diego Ferreira prediction
Both men bring proven skills and years of Octagon experience, but their strengths clash in a way that should produce drama. Hernandez thrives in the opening rounds with speed and power, while Ferreira has the nous to capitalise on mistakes and force scrambles. It’s a recipe for a finish rather than a drawn-out contest.

Prediction: Fight to not go the distance
