Trinbago Knight Riders responded strongly to their first home defeat by coming back and winning on Friday night. They were dominant over Barbados Tridents, restricting them to just 127/9 before chasing that target down with seven wickets and just over five overs spare. But now they face their biggest challenge yet as last year’s runners-up come to town.
Guyana Amazon Warriors were beaten in last year’s final by Trinbago and there’s no doubt they’ll have revenge on their minds. The Warriors would love to make a big statement here and they are playing some excellent T20 cricket, winning three from three and clicking in all departments. As well as Trinbago played last time out, they are yet to prove themselves on a consistent basis and so the smart play would be to back the red-hot Warriors.
