THE PREDICTION

Former world number 19 Karolina Muchova continued her excellent recent form with a straight-sets victory over Lin Zhu on Friday and she is yet to drop a set all week having qualified to make the main draw. The current world number 55 initially struggled to find consistency since returning from a long injury lay-off late last season but an incredible run to the quarter-finals of Indian Wells last week saw her come as close as anybody to beating the eventual champion Elena Rybakina in three tight sets. World number 74 Sorana Cirstea also came into form at Indian Wells to make a surprising charge to the quarter-finals before defeat to world number one Iga Swiatek. The 32-year-old stunned Caroline Garcia in three sets last Wednesday but she doubled down on Friday, beating the fifth seed in straight sets to prove her current level more than just a flash in the pan. 26-year-old Muchova leads their head-to-head 2-0 after recently beating Cirstea in straight sets at the Dubai Masters in February but both of their meetings have been tight encounters.

Take Muchova to win outright here or consider backing the Czech to win at least a set coupled with at least one tiebreak in the match – as has happened in each of their previous matches.
