26-year-old Anhelina Kalinina is up to a career-high WTA world ranking of 28th this week after a strong couple of matches at Indian Wells saw her beat Linda Fruhvirtova and lose to Maria Sakkari in three sets apiece. The 26-year-old is probably at her best on clay but she has excelled in stages across all surfaces over the last 12 months and this looks a reasonably kind opener over Sofia Kenin despite the American’s recent resurgence.
