SEBASTIAN KORDA VS SOONWOO KWON PREDICTION
World number 28 Sebastian Korda grabbed an encouraging straight-sets win over wildcard Harold Mayot on Sunday but he will have to improve some areas, particularly his first serve in percentage, if he is to finally realise his potential at this level.
The 23-year-old has been around for some time now, occasionally producing masterful, elegant displays at prestigious events that suggest he can be a top 10, if not top three, player this decade, but there have been far too many odd exits and limp displays in between.
26-year-old Soonwoo Kwon will be elated with a straight-sets victory over Emil Ruusuvuori on Monday, only his second of the season as he desperately tries to make a comeback from a lengthy injury spell. Korda beat the Korean in straight sets at Delray Beach back in 2021 and he should be able to do so again here. The suitably cautious call, however, is an outright win whilst we assess his working level in Paris.
