THE PREDICTION
World number 32 Sebastian Baez got his Estoril Open title defence underway with a tight straight-sets victory over Radu Albot on Monday. The 22-year-old struggled for much of the second-half of last season but he enjoyed a resurgence back on clay in February to claim his second ATP title at the Cordoba Open. World number 67 Pedro Cachin enjoyed a fierce rise up the rankings last summer with some remarkable form on this surface at Challenger level and it will be fascinating to see what he can do on a full ATP tour clay swing over the coming months. The 27-year-old beat Chun-Hsin Tseng in straight sets on Monday to claim only his third win of the season, though, and a first meeting with Baez looks too steep a climb at this moment in time. Baez still has some gears to find here in Estoril given his run last season but the younger Argentine can be backed to win outright here.
