MARKETA VONDROUSOVA VS ANHELINA KALININA PREDICTION
World number six Marketa Vondrousova came back from a set down to beat Magdalena Frech on Wednesday, conceding just one game after dropping the first set to look ready to double down here. The 24-year-old finished runner-up at Roland-Garros in 2019 to prove her credentials on clay but she has won just one WTA title on the surface, at Biel in 2017, and only two overall despite her second coming at Wimbledon last summer.
World number 56 Anhelina Kalinina is better than her current deflated WTA ranking suggests, particularly on her favoured clay, and she prove that with a three-set upset over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the first round on Sunday. The 27-year-old dropped a set to Fiona Ferro on Wednesday but she should be competitive in this fourth encounter with Vondrousova, whom she beat from a set down at the Beijing Masters last October. Back Vondrousova to edge this match on the back of her most recent two games in Strasbourg but expect this to be tight.
