THE PREDICTION
World number four Elena Rybakina has dropped sets in each of her first two matches at the Miami Open, and in each of her last three on tour, as she continues to search for her best tennis. The 24-yearold finished runner-up to Iga Swiatek at the Qatar Masters despite never really looking in peak condition and she has since struggled to make a dent, with three-set victories over Clara Tauson and home hopeful Taylor Townsend far from convincing here.
World number 18 Madison Keys will be eager to make full use of home advantage here in Miami after two excellent straight-sets results over Diana Shnaider and Xinyu Wang, her first back-to-back wins since reaching the semi-finals of the US Open last summer. The 29-year-old leads Rybakina 2-1 in their head-to-head but she is only just back from a three-month break from the tour to make an upset highly unlikely. Keys has, however, won at least a set in all three of their previous encounters so consider that option here in lieu of a full result. Leave this one out of an accumulator.
