MACKENZIE MCDONALD VS TALLON GRIEKSPOOR PREDICTION
World number 74 Mackenzie McDonald is still looking for his first win of the season after ending last year in drab form before picking up an injury at the Australian Open in January. The 29-year-old was in good shape for most of last year but he has rarely found his best tennis on clay, with the incoming grass swing likelier to see him build back form.
World number 25 Tallon Griekspoor is a confident, robust all-court threat with the engine for five-set tennis. The 27-year-old lost to Novak Djokovic at the Geneva Open last week but recent wins over Holger Rune and Dominik Koepfer on clay say he can play to his seeding this fortnight in Paris. Back the Dutchman to win this first meeting with McDonald outright, although three sets should do it against the recovering American.
