THE PREDICTION

World number 16 Roberto Bautista Agut has been in blistering form this week at the Qatar Open, conceding just three games so far in a 6-0 6-1 victory over Andy Murray and a 6-1 6-1 victory over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. The 33-year-old started the year on fire at the ATP Cup before losing in the final to Felix Auger-Aliassime and he looks to have regained that form and then some at the tournament where he won his most recent of nine ATP finals back in 2019. World number 27 Karen Khachanov came back well from a set down to beat Marin Cilic on Thursday to level their head-to-head record at two wins apiece but he is well behind Bautista Agut in a 5-2 record with the Spaniard, who has won their last two meetings. Interestingly, Khachanov has won both of their meetings on clay, but that does not bode well for him here especially with RBA looking like the champion elect here. Take the Spaniard to win outright.
