Jie Cui vs Adolfo Daniel Vallejo prediction

Jie Cui enters the Hangzhou Open as a wildcard after representing China in the Davis Cup last week. The 28-year-old pushed Nicolai Budkov Kjaer hard before losing 4-6 6-4 6-4, having taken the opening set against the Norwegian. Before that, Cui beat Fajing Sun at the Shanghai Challenger before a loss to Yi Zhou in the second-round. He is still ranked well outside of the top 400 in the world. His best 2026 result include winning the ITF title in Maanshan.

Adolfo Daniel Vallejo is the fifth seed at the tournament. The Paraguayan is ranked 58 in the season, a career high. His biggest successes have come on clay, including back-to-back Challenger titles in Itajai and Concepcion early in the season. He has just played two demanding Davis Cup matches against Peru last week, losing to Juan Pablo Varillas but edging past Ignacio Buse.

Vallejo has improved on hard courts this season and has also established himself against a much higher standard of opposition during 2026.
