JAUME MUNAR VS ROBERTO BAUTISTA AGUT PREDICTION
Former number nine Roberto Bautista Agut comes into Roland-Garros ranked at 81st after enduring a severe depreciation in form over the past two seasons. The 36-year-old reached the round of 16 at the Australian Open last season but he has struggled to make an impact practically anywhere since, although a three-set exit to Karen Khachanov at the Madrid Open late last month was encouraging.
World number 64 Jaume Munar finished runner-up to Alejandro Tabilo at the Provence Challenger earlier this month but he brings a two-match losing streak into Paris.
Both Spaniards are no strangers to a marathon match at this level, with each of their exits here last season seeing sets go both ways, but this looks Munar’s best chance yet at finally beating RBA as he trails 0-2 in their head-to-head. Take Munar to earn at least two sets to leave the victor up to chance or go for a one-off on this match to need a decider.
