IRINA-CAMELIA BEGU VS LINDA NOSKOVA PREDICTION
19-year-old Linda Noskova set a career-high WTA world ranking of 28th after her brilliant run to the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, where she upset world number one Iga Swiatek from a set down to pose one of the few threats to the Pole this fortnight.
The Czech beat Harriet Dart in tight straight sets on Monday to get a foothold in at Roland-Garros but former number 22 Irina-Camelia Begu has impressed since her return from injury, conceding just four games to Julia Riera on Monday to build on momentum that saw her reach the round of 16 in Rome.
Noskova beat the Romanian in straight sets at the Miami Open last spring but Begu is the more comfortable on clay ahead of their second encounter. The sensible concession is backing Noskova to earn at least a set but consider a one-off on the same option in favour of Begu.
