This has the potential to be a thrilling battle on Rod Laver Arena on Thursday if Danielle Collins can bring her best to the occasion. The 30-year-old has endured a tough 12 months on tour to fall back as far as world number 62 but she set a career-high WTA world ranking of seventh after finishing runner-up to Ash Barty here in 2021, doing so via a bullish victory over Iga Swiatek in the semi-finals.
