GREET MINNEN VS ELENA RYBAKINA PREDICTION
World number four Elena Rybakina will be desperate for a clean bill of health this fortnight after a virus forced her out of the third round last season. The 24-year-old win her maiden Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2022 and she finished runner-up to Aryna Sabalenka in Melbourne the following January but she has struggled to make much of an impact at Grand Slams since.
The Kazakh has, however, thoroughly impressed elsewhere – when fit – with three WTA titles picked up already this season in Brisbane, Abu Dhabi and Stuttgart, the latter of which saw her become the only player to beat Iga Swiatek on clay this year.
World number 86 Greet Minnen has drawn one of the shortest straws possible but the Belgian will be keen to perform well before making strides on the incoming grass swing. Rybakina should blast through in straight sets.
