The Hungarian put in yet more excellent results at Masters level with a last 16 exit at Indian Wells and a quarter-final exit in Miami, matching his best effort from Shanghai late last season, as he continues his rapid rise up the rankings. World number 53 Facundo Diaz Acosta won his maiden ATP title on home clay in Buenos Aires in February but he has since struggled to match that intensity. A huge straight-sets victory over 15th seed Borna Coric on Tuesday makes him a serious threat to Marozsan in their first encounter on tour but it has taken top 30 opposition to oust the Hungarian since mid-February.
