THE PREDICTION
This will be an interesting rematch between world number 17 Karen Khachanov and number 43 Emil Rusuuvuori after the Finn stunned Khachanov in three sets at the Hong Kong Open at the start of the year. 24-year-old Ruusuvuori went on to reach his maiden tour final there before defeat to Andrey Rublev and he has impressed since, taking the first two sets from Daniil Medvedev at the Australian Open before eventually falling to defeat in the early hours of a thriller at the Australian Open. 27-year-old Khachanov beat Fabian Marozsan in straight sets on Wednesday to look strong this week in Doha and he will be targeting tournaments of this level this year after finally breaking his title drought of five years with victory at the Zhuhai 250 last summer. Ruusuvuori is yet to drop a set this week but this will be his toughest test yet, with Khachanov leading their head-to-head 2-1 including a victory in the round of 16 here two years ago. Khachanov has earned at least a set in all three of their encounters so take that option to leave the victor up to chance.
TIP: KAREN KHACHANOV TO WIN A SET
