World number five Daniil Medvedev ended Christopher Eubanks’ dream run in straight sets on Thursday to maintain a rock-steady procession towards the Miami Open final and he looks the favourite here with a 3-1 lead over compatriot Karen Khachanov in their head-to-head. World number 16 Khachanov will fancy his chances, though, after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas for the first time earlier this week and he backed that up with an impressive performance over Francisco Cerundolo on Thursday. After several years in the wilderness, by his standards, Khachanov has reached the semi-finals at back-to-back Grand Slams in New York and Melbourne to show massive progress back towards his best.
